Top Rock Act, Top Of The Pops

U2 beat off competition from Limp Bizkit, Stereophonics, Travis and Wheatus to win Top Rock Act at the UK's Top Of The Pop Awards.



The awards, voted for by fans, were held at the Manchester Evening News Arena. The ceremony included performances by Travis, which won Top Album for The Invisible Band, and Nelly Furtado, who opened the ceremony and was voted Top Newcomer.



The Top Pop title went to Westlife while Top Dance Prize went to Fatboy Slim. Kylie Minogue won two prizes, Top Single for Can’t Get You Out Of My Head and Top Tour for On A Night Like This.
